The Middle East is an area where automobile is king and fuel is inexpensive, frequently leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of walking around.
But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have pushed up the cost of oil, the issue of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.
In a region that has among the greatest carbon footprints worldwide, one company is taking benefit of the growing pressure to find options to oil. It’s set up the Middle East’s very first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It’s showing rewarding too, already their client-list includes McDonald’s.
